Three star
WHEN wannabe officer of the law Marvin Mange (Rob Schneider) is involved in a near fatal car crash, an insane scientist decides to start messing about with nature.
He replaces Mange's organs with those of numerous animals with hilarious consequences.
Not only can he smell, swim and run like various beasts, he also finds himself experiencing amorous emotions towards a goat on heat.
The star of the show which sadly only appears in one scene is an orangutan which adores humans but loathes other animals.
After staring out the animalistic Marvin, the monkey decides violence is the way forward and proceeds to beat the man around the head.
This is much to the surprise of Marvin's love interest Rianna (Colleen Haskell) who, it is revealed, also has a very strong link with the animal kingdom.
The film does have weak moments when the comedy seems to fall flat but generally it is good fun.
Although this film is probably aimed at the young teenage market, there is plenty to give adults a good chuckle.
Added extras on the DVD include commentaries, a featurette, deleted scenes and a game called What's In Marvin?
