POLICE are appealing for information after more than 1,500 cannabis pot plants were seized from a plot of land near Rubery. Two men, one from Halesowen and another from London, have been arrested and released pending police enquiries following the discovery close to Frankley Services on the M5 on Monday, June 24. Around 100 of the plants, found at the top of a steep embankment on the northbound carriageway, were around 3ft tall. A sample has been sent to the forensic laboratory for tests. Anyone with information about the plants should call 01527 584888 or make an anonymous call to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
