POLICE have this week reappealed for information after a man was brutally attacked in an alleyway near a town pub.
The assault, which took place near the Turks Head pub, in Worcester Road, happened at around 4.55pm on Saturday June 15.
The man was heading towards Charford Road when he was approached from behind by a man and hit across the back of the head.
He fell to the floor and the offender grabbed him by the feet and dragged him into an alleyway, known as Peter's Finger.
The victim, who suffered a cut to the head, grazes and bruising to the rib cage, managed to struggle free and was later treated at the Alexandra Hospital, in Redditch.
The offender ran off after the incident.
Police want to speak to anyone who may have seen a silver Mercedes or a blue BMW speed off towards New Road around the time of the incident.
Anyone with information should call PC Mark Hollingworth on 01527 584888 or make an anonymous call to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
