THURSDAY was the day the teddy bears had their picnic... or at least it was for some cuddly toys belonging to children in Rubery.
Youngsters at Holywell Primary and Nursery School finished their study on teddies by enjoying a teddy bears' picnic.
The children - teddies in hand - went on a teddy bear trail, wearing teddy badges and listening to bear stories, before sitting down beneath a large tree and eating lunch.
The youngsters have been studying bears and a picnic was deemed the best and most fun way to end the topic.
"We are building events like this into our yearly calendar, which mainly take place in the summer term," said nursery teacher Cynthia Beckett.
"It's fun and encourages the children to learn if they a know a treat like this is in store."
