AN animal charity in Rubery needs extra help to runs its popular shop.
The PDSA, in New Road, raises cash for the treatment of sick and injured animals and relies on voluntary help six days a week.
They are extremely short staffed especially on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Shop manager Lesley Power said: "Every minute you volunteer will make a difference so if you could spare a couple of hours we would be very grateful."
Cash collected from sales goes directly to two PetAid hospitals in Birmingham.
On average 210 sick and injured animals are treated every working day at the hospitals. For details on becoming a PDSA shop volunteer call 0121 453 8200.
