GLITTERING lights and glamour helped a Pop Idol-style contest go with a bang when pupils at a Spa school showed off their talent.
Students from Droitwich Spa High School, in Briar Mill, took part in the contest on Monday night. There were 25 bands and performers who were cheered along by family and friends.
The winner of the solo group was Ceri Bevan, aged 16, who wowed the crowds with her version of Painted Sky and Helen Perry and Lucy Heavisides were winners in the band section, singing a Britney Spears song.
All of the winners received a £50 HMV voucher.
