AVONCROFT CC Seconds recorded a comfortable home victory with a seven-wicket win over Claverley.
The visitors batted first and were dismissed for 248.
Croft youngsters Jimmy Deakin and Adam Rodway bowled impressively but Bob Irish was the pick of the bowlers, taking 6-48.
In reply, Croft were given a flying start by openers Pete Whitehead and Ian Athey.
After Whitehead's dismissal Athey was joined by 15-year-old Luke Townsend and both rode their luck to put together a match winning partnership.
Athey eventually went for 75 and Townsend was dismissed for 68 as Croft reached their target for the loss of just three wickets.
