ARE the residents of Dolphin Road quixotic in their fight to stay?
I sincerely hope not. Redditch Council appears to be dogmatic towards the residents.
Having been both inside and out of these buildings, they are appealing to the eye as the street name suggests - sleek and elegant.
An Englishman's home is his castle or a local council's means to eliminate a financial problem.
It would seem, if it's to be believed, that £1 million would be needed to renovate (dictionary meaning to make new).
Whilst it would be impossible to produce such a transformation, a small proportion of this money allocated to the 30 buildings would surely bring them up to a standard expected of our town's habitations.
The 'seizure' of the Dolphin Road prefabs would, in my opinion, be a travesty of justice and a total disregard to the residents' wishes.
Dolphin road residents keep up your pledge!
