THE June meeting was the AGM and began with Pat Pritchard lighting the Candle of Friendship for New Zealand clubs.
President Valerie Pickering and members expressed their sympathy to honorary member Janice Shields on the sudden death of her husband.
It was agreed to increase the donation to Acorn Hospice by £100.
Also £250 was required to buy a water pump for use in one of India's outlying districts where there was no pure water for drinking.
Rotarian Dev Khosla would be visiting the area to carry out his voluntary dentistry work and it was agreed to ask him to organise the pump on the club's behalf.
Officers for the new year were confirmed and a discussion took place regarding honorary members.
It was agreed these should be Sheila Pretty, Jill Hall, Eddie Thomson and a member from Redditch Ladies' Probus Club.
The president then gave her valedictory address, recalling the events of the last 12 months and thanking officers and members for their support and help in making it a memorable year.
She then presented Georgina Hunt with the chain of office and wished her a successful and happy year as the new president.
