ATHLETICS: There were big changes after race six of Amazing Feet's inter-club league due to the absence of the three leading runners.
Six members tackled the Sting In The Tail multi-terrain event at Telford.
Leader Chris Miles dropped to third in the inter-club league as second male over-45 John Amos finished 11th overall in 39 minutes 24 seconds.
Amos took maximum points and jumped to the top of the league.
Lindsay Pulley, the only ever-present this year, finished 53rd in 53-36 for first male over-60 and moved into second place.
Brian Humphries had an excellent run to finish fourth in 36-56 with Andy Norris 26th in 43-59.
Richard Baker (40th in 47-28) and Andy Pritchard (56th in 56-56) leapt six places in the club table.
Five of the six runners turned out the following day as well, completing the 6.5-mile Stourbridge Stagger multi-terrain event.
It was Baker's fourth race in six days.
Times: Humphries 39-52, Eddie Sanders 40-57, Amos 41-37, Norris 45-19, Baker 50-39, Pulley 56-32.
Former league leaders Chris and Ruth Miles both ran in the Blackpool Marathon, recording three hours 18-34 and 3-41-30 respectively.
Club members are reminded the next league race is on Friday at the Crown Classic, Dawley, Telford.
