COUNCILLORS elected under the Save Kidderminster Hospital banner all describe themselves as independent but this seems to be contradicted by your front page story of June 27 "A calming influence".
The dominant member of the controlling independent group on Bewdley Town Council says that at a future meeting members would rubber stamp a decision made by the county council.
In the days when the town council was made up entirely of councillors who held allegiance to various recognised political parties the more democratic system was used whereby members debated the issue and then made up their minds.
So much for independence!
