MAJOR improvements have been promised in Wyre Forest District Council's summer play programme.
The six weeks of fun will include half-price and free places to children from families on housing or unemployment benefit.
The authority also vowed the most comprehensive range of Summer Kids Klubs to date at 11 venues across the district.
There will be trips to places such as the Elan Valley, Black Mountains and everything from canoeing to rock-climbing.
Some 20,000 brochures will be delivered this week to every school in the district and the council has set up a CD-Rom containing booking details.
Marketing and projects manager Simon Trickett said: "We are totally committed to ensure there is something for everyone in this programme.
"I am hopeful the half-price places initiative will make more of these activities affordable."
For copies of the CD-Rom and more details call 01562 732984.
Brochures are also available from Wyre Forest Glades Leisure Centre, Kidderminster, and Stourport Sports Centre.
The summer fun starts on Monday, July 22 but bookings can be made now.
