Evesham Jubilee Society
FISHING the River Arrow at Broom, Phil Johns won the Jubilee Cup using pole tactics with a net containing ten bream and a chub.
Unfortunately, the Dobbins Cup wasn't contested due to a lack of numbers.
Members are asked to note that the important fixture at Cromer Pit on Sunday has been cancelled due to fish poisoning that has caused the closure of the venue.
The fixture has been transferred to the Jubilee Fishery with a 7am draw.
Last Tuesday's Open match didn't fish as well as expected with Gary Seadon the winner.
Matches will continue every Tuesday evening for three hours with the draw between 5.30 and 5.45pm. Ring Phil Johns on 01386 443877 (evgs) for details.
