I WOULD like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who assisted in the recent celebration for National Volunteers Week.
VOW (Voluntary Organisations of Worcester) organised a number of events during the week and would especially like to thank:
The Mayor and Mayoress, Coun R Rowden and Mrs Rowden, Trevor Lloyd-Adams, CrownGate Centre, Marks & Spencer, The Edge Outdoor Adventures, John Terry and The Angel Centre, and the Whole Caboodle (c/o John Smith).
During the week, we arranged a number of activities and there are some photographs available at the WCVB Offices if anyone is interested.
National Volunteers Week is a co-ordinated week of activities designed to promote volunteering, recruit volunteers and recognise and reward those who undertake voluntary activities in their community.
If anyone is interested in finding out about the many varied tasks available for volunteers, they are welcome to call into our office at 33 The Tything (we are open Monday-Friday 10am-4pm) or call Sally or Beth on Worcester 24741.
SALLY ELLISON,
Bureau Manager,
Worcester City Volunteer Bureau.
