A SIZZLING weekend of hill climb action is lined-up at Shelsley Walsh, on both two and four wheels.
Saturday and Sunday will see further action as the Midland Automobile Club reaches the half-way point of the season at the historic venue.
The meeting follows June's record-breaking event, which saw Sir Stirling Moss take to the hill where his legendary racing career first started, and the record time at the 1,000-yard track smashed by Graeme Wight jnr. Simon Durling attacks the challenging Shelsley Walsh course.
Stourport drivers will feature in three of the weekend's events.
Bruce Atkinson will be in the Classic Cars pre-1975 handicap in his Alfa Romeo GT Junior, Derek Sweeney will be behind the wheel of a Westfield SE in the class for road modified kit cars over 1,700cc, and Grayham Parker in the class for road modified saloons and sports cars over 1,400cc in a Talbot Sunbeam Lotus.
Parker will be joined in this class by David Blunt of Bewdley in a TVR 3000M.
Lining-up for Kidderminster is Chris Martin driving a Hi-Tech 600H in the class for racing cars up to 600cc, and Philip Laurie is in the motorcycle class on a Yamaha TZR.
Saturday will see the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) bring hundreds of pre-war cars to Shelsley for the annual one-day event.
Many of the VSCC cars will have competed on the hill before the Second World War and have continued to do so ever since, giving a glimpse of days-gone-by.
The smells and sounds of old cars will be boosted with English Racing Automobiles (ERA) taking centre stage on the hill where they took the best time of the day accolade no less than 20 times before and after the war.
Last August saw the pre-war car record fall to David Morris in his ERA, with a time of 34.31 seconds.
His time is on the cards to tumble once more following in the tracks of last month's meeting - which also saw a record crowd - when the absolute hill record fell to Graeme Wight jnr with a blistering sub-25 second climb.
On Sunday there will be a massive array of road and racing cars, from brand new Honda S2000s, Westfield Megabusas, Ford Cosworths, Group B Audi Quattros, Ferraris, Mitsubishi Evos, Lotus and Morgans.
With a new strip of tarmac on the startline giving extra grip, it is expected many of the class records will also fall.
The meeting is set to be an event not to be missed by historic and modern motorsport fans, the relaxed "no passes required" paddock gives everyone access to marvel at speed hill climbing machinery.
Advance tickets, priced £10, can be purchased by calling 01886 812211. Practice starts at 9.30am, class runs from lunchtime.
