MUSIC from five decades will be belted out when Tom the Frop line up alongside a highly-rated Eagles tribute band for an open air concert later this month.

The band, who started life in the mid-1970s, will be sharing the bill with Talon - The Best of the Eagles, for The Hole in the Wall concert at Hopton Court in Hopton Wafers on Saturday, July 20.

In the early days Tom the Frop, later known as Cairo, were inspired by Rush, The Beatles and Genesis, and penned their own songs - prompting interest from EMI in New York - before style changes saw them become a folk outfit, reverting to their original name.

However, rock 'n' roll gradually crept back in and the band turned their attention back to the music of the 1960s, before continued evolution expanded their repertoire to feature tunes from the last five decades.

Talon, who claim to "faithfully and brilliantly" reproduce the music of the Eagles, include many well-known tracks in their set such as Best of My Love, Seven Bridges Road, Tequila Sunrise and Lyin' Eyes.

Both the original and acoustic versions of Hotel California are featured as are the rockier numbers Heartache Tonight, Life in the Fast Lane and Take it Easy and classic ballads Take it to the Limit and Desperado.

"This truly amazing concert has to be seen to be believed," said a spokesman.
