A DRUNK man who returned to his Droitwich home to find police officers comforting his scared girlfriend, threatened to kill her.

Kenneth Crow's long-term partner called the police as she was scared of him returning home drunk and violent.

Worcester magistrates heard that when Crow returned, he branded his girlfriend a f*****g bitch, threatened to kill her and verbally abused the officers.

Sally Hill, prosecuting, said police arrived at the house at 9.30pm on Wednesday, April 24, and found Crow's girlfriend scared.

"She was fearful of her safety because she thought he would have been drinking," said Miss Hill.

Crow, who is now homeless, returned to the house in Droitwich, while officers were there, and launched a tirade of abuse.

"He was visibly drunk and unsteady on his feet and displaying an aggressive mood," added Miss Hill.

"He began to wave his hands in a fairly threatening manner.

Walked away

"He walked away but then turned round and continued when he was arrested."

Crow, who admitted being drunk and disorderly and failing to surrender to bail on Tuesday, May 14, was not represented by a solicitor.

The 43-year-old, who admitted having a chronic alcohol problem, revealed that the couple had since made up and he had pledged to stay teetotal.

"We're trying to make a go of things and I've promised to refrain from drinking to give the relationship another go," he said.

Crow was fined £40 for being drunk and disorderly, £10 for breaking bail and was ordered to pay £25 costs.
