BRINGING ghouls, ghosts and literary monsters to life was the aim of a Worcester school in its end-of-term production.
St Joseph's RC Primary School in Warndon decided to put on a production of The Rocky Horror Show - although not quite as risqu a version as the original musical.
With allusions to Sherlock Holmes, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Bram Stoker's Dracula and Elvis brought to life in the laboratory, it was certainly an unusual and unforgettable performance.
Not only was the two-day production a big hit with parents, teachers said it had also been a good introduction to a wide range of literature for the children.
"The whole school has found the production thoroughly enjoyable and it introduced children to a wide range of literary characters," said Year Five teacher Christina Hall.
The play was chosen from a list of scripts, which have been specially adapted for school performances.
