Bransford Golf Club held its annual Bannockburn Trophy with a good turn-out of members for both sides despite some dubious ancestry claimed on the Scotland side.
The match was halved after all the matches were played, so the captains staged a putting competition, which was won by G. Anthony for Scotland.
The club's Secure it All Trophy tournament saw victory for M. Madden and M. Kettle with runners-up spot going to B. Moloney and Dr T. Cheng.
The senior's section at Bransford held their second open competition with a total of 134 players taking part in an 18-hole Stableford competition which was split into three divisions.
The winners were - Group 'A' (Age 55-60): J Barton (7) Gay Hill 36 points, R Wetton (19) Bransford 35 points, A Taylor (14) Bransford 34 points. Group 'B' (61-69): G Slade (7) Herefordshire 36 points, P Bennett (16) Hagley 36 points, C Hughes (13) Harbourne 34 points. Group 'C' (70 Plus).
