TOM Novell and Duncan McPherson won Tolladine Golf Club's inaugural Jubilee Invitation Cup.
The trophy replaces the now defunct annual Worcester Carnival Cup and was competed for by 54 pairs playing to a three-quarter handicap schedule, better-ball format.
Each pair contained a Tolladine Golg Cub member and a guest.
Novell, playing off 10 partnered Boughton Park member McPherson (2) and carded a nett 62.
They were closely followed by three other pairs on scores of nett 63, but by virtue of a better back nine, runners-up were Roger King (14) and Jim Whitehouse (8) from Droitwich Golf Club.
This pair went round the back nine in 29 shots nett. In third place were Mike Cross and Keith Wallett (Penn GC).
Best gross score of the day was Phil Tipper (4) and Boughton's Stuart Yapp (4) who recorded a magnificent 67.
Best front nine with 31 was Mark Painter and Barry Painter (Penn GC).
The rules of the Jubilee Cup competition meant King and Whitehouse could not pick up two prizes, so the next best back nine went to Matt Cording and his partner Alex French (Habberley Golf Club).
The new trophy was donated by Tolladine Golf Club member Kevin Probert.
