THE Worcester Nomads U11 A side won two games, against Colwall and Barnards Green.
Against Colwall, Nomads made 225-4, with skipper James Smith leading from the front with 13 runs. In reply, Colwall couldn't muster the required runs in the face of some good bowling by the young Nomads attack, losing nine wickets on their way to 208.
Jac Dimond took an excellent 3-9 from three overs, and got good support from James Smith and Douglas Stourmont-Darling, both finishing with 2-11. Nomads won by 17 runs.
Against Barnards Green the winning margin was even greater, winning by 57 runs.
Nomads were in control with 275-3 on the board, Will Ford with 13, James Smith with 25 and Richard Puckett with 11 doing most of the damage.
Barnards Green could only make 218, and young Thomas Malone was in excellent form with the ball, taking 4-4 from his three overs.
James Smith took 3-11, and Oliver Pope and Will Ford also took a wicket each.
