WHILE all around him are sinking into the lure of bitchiness, Big Brother's Tim Culley has been making his mark by being blessedly nave and straightforward.

Over the weekend the 23-year-old from Upton ended up on the rich side of the house on his own, with an enormous budget for food and nik naks to indulge his every whim.

But, instead of suffering from the isolation, Tim seems to be growing in stature, benefiting from the space and disentanglement from the intensity of the poor side's six housemates.

During nominations, he was the only one whose reasons weren't paranoid or personal, he nominated Jade because she is lazy and Kate because he is unsure of her.

He escaped being nominated for eviction and seems to have made no enemies within the house.

That he then won a task and invited Kate over to share some of his delicious food was a winner, because Kate had been living, along with Jonny, on the poor side for 17 days.

So, while Tim suffered the hardship of coming in late and people found his outspoken way amusing, three weeks later he seems to be taking the strain without too much fuss.

As a late starter though, it is questionable whether he will be a contender for the prize against popular stalwarts like Alex and Kate.
