CRIMINAL waxworks brought to life, love, and the songs of Gilbert and Sullivan feature in the production at Bromyard's Conquest Theatre.
At 7.30pm on July 18, 19 and 20, Worcester Gilbert and Sullivan Society will perform Fraser Charlton's Wicked Waxworks, which includes favourite G&S songs form the likes of Pirates of Penzance, Princess Ida, Trial by Jury, Ruddigore and Mikado.
Singing the songs are a male chorus of waxworks and adoring female admirers, who are brought to life by a sorcerer working for a pair of money-grabbing siblings.
The brother and sister have persuaded the magical man, John Wellington Wells, to use his powers so that they can reap the benefits of the waxworks stealing and burgling on their behalf.
Once alive, the waxworks' become infused with love, unrequited love and all the ingredients essential to a G&S spectacular including bungling policemen, love potions and long lost relatives.
Tickets are £6/£5, from the Conquest box office on 01885 488575.
