FRIED mouse and badger dung are on the menu at The Commandery in Worcester, later this month, in an exploration of some of the more bizarre cures used in the Middle Ages.
Activities, aimed at seven to 11-year-olds, will begin on Tuesday, July 23, with a look at the surprising range of plants and animals to be found in the Commandery's garden, in Sidbury.
Sessions will continue with a talk from the museum's mediaeval herbalist, who will be talking about the cures of the times including the dreaded leech, the use of fried mouse and badger dung.
Activities take place from 10.30am to 12.30pm and continue for four weeks until Tuesday, August 13.
