THE letter from C M Hughes (You Say, June 24) showed how nave and inward-looking he must be.
I can only assume he lives on Bromwich Road, or thereabouts, and is within easy walking distance to Christopher Whitehead School.
My children and a few hundred others live in Dines Green and the top end of St John's. It isn't, as he claims, convenient to all pupils.
If he has ever stood outside Christopher Whitehead School at home time, he would see the appaling game of Russian roulette the children have to play as they attempt to cross the busy road.
Maybe a brand new purpose-built school with easier access would be a godsend to pupils and parents alike.
G McBRIDE,
Dines Green, Worcester.
