ONE of Britain's most popular sports presenters has dropped into the Faithful City to help promote the BBC's Sport Relief project.
John Inverdale, who until Sunday was hosting the Wimbledon Championships, visited BBC Hereford & Worcester, to pick up a signed shirt from Worcester Rugby Club to auction as part of the Sport Relief project, which culminates at the end of this week.
The visit to Worcester is part of a whistle-stop tour of all 38 BBC local radio stations, which he is visiting this week.
He took over the mike during the Colin Bray "drive time" show to help promote the project, which aims to help underprivileged children in Britain and across the world.
For every pound given to Sport Relief, a pound will be given to a worthy project.
