Bretforton 3, Badsey 1
THE opening game of the Summer League was a rain soaked affair with the first half was competitively fought with both teams on the attack.
However, with good passing from Bobbie Handley in defence through the midfield and into attack, centre forward Deb Slatter slotted the ball past the keeper to give Bretforton the lead.
Following a short corner routine, the ball came to Slatter again who added her second.
Badsey then pressurised the Bret defence and managed to pull a goal back to make it 2-1 at the break.
Good work from Fiona Baldelli in goal and her defence ensured domination of the second half.
Pressure then led to a short corner and another well worked move saw Slatter again on hand to compete her hat-trick.
