EVESHAM HIGH School is the venue for an inter-club tournament on Sunday in readiness for the new season.
Mixed seven-a-side teams from the Evesham club will be in action and any new players interested in joining the club will be most welcome to attend.
Opening skirmishes start at 10am with the play scheduled to finish around 2pm. Refresh-ments will be available and more information can be obta-ined by ringing Steve Miller on 07766 012504 or Mark Moss on 07973 897078.
The club's ladies section had a great turnout for last Thursday's opening match of the Bretforton Summer League.
The game didn't start too well when opponents Stratford took the lead but it only made Eve-sham more determined and their team effort soon paid off.
Jojo Barker's short corner was stopped by Bernie Amphlett for Katie Miller to knock it back to Barker who fired the ball past the goalkeeper.
Newcomer Nicola Nimmo fitted well into midfield and more pressure brought a second goal before half-time when Kayleigh Hateley scored after a fine pass from Katie's twin sister, Amy.
Substitute Emily Cooke was brought into then fray as rolling substitutions ensued and the good play continued as Barker and Hateley again found the net to seal a 4-1 win.
Carol Cherry, Sam Witheford and Jude Taylor all performed solidly in defence on what proved a highly satisfactory return to competitive action.
