ALCESTER people have been urged to 'name and shame' fellow residents who are using the streets as a dumping ground for rubbish.
The call came from town councillors after they received an anonymous letter, which was read out at a council meeting.
The letter named a man and stated he had been seen dropping litter in the same place every day on his way to work.
Councillor Chris Gough said it was important for the council to encourage residents to come forward and report people using Alcester as a rubbish tip.
Councillors agreed to see what action was taken when the letter was handed over to Stratford Council to deal with.
