MY earlier letter (Advertiser, June 26) focused on the injustice of 'medicating' individuals without their consent.
Mr Logan's is about other aspects, which need response.
He is quite right that we need minerals in our diet; he probably knows that our soils have been severely depleted of these metallic elements as a result of industrial farming practices.
Yes, I agree that the arsenic, lead and mercury that are present, in small quantities, in the fluoridation source, are minerals that are found in nature but the chief constituent, fluorosilicic acid (and its salts), is a man-made compound, not found in nature. It comes from the effluent scrubbers of certain industries.
I have expressed only my own views of the situation; I do not intend to take on board pronouncements intended to lull me into apathetic sleep.
Perhaps I could meet Mr Logan for further discussion. My telephone number is 01527 852724.
