WINYATES Green biker Andy Burbidge has his sights set on next year's Isle of Man TT - providing he can persuade his mum to let him go!
The famous old race was Burbidge's chief motivation for chasing his coveted National Licence and he finally earned the final signature required at Snetterton at the weekend.
The talented youngster had to cope with severe suspension problems but managed to claim 11th place in his first race on the speedy East Anglian circuit.
Racing against more powerful machines in the New Era championship, Burbidge was delighted with his finish.
In his first visit to Snetterton, Burbidge went on to claim 13th in Saturday's second race before an electrical problem forced him out of Sunday's first race.
But the youngster, sponsored by Hytera Exhausts, roared back to finish 12th in the final event and complete a successful weekend.
Burbidge was busy trying to repair his suspension this week with a double header on the horizon in a fortnight as he competes in another New Era race at Oulton Park before heading to Darley Moor for an EMRA race the next day.
Burbidge is concentrating on the EMRA series and tops the leaderboard with a healthy 44 point lead.
