ANDY Tinsley returned to sixth in the Superstocks Series after an impressive sixth place at his least favourite track.
1999 was the last time the Astwood Bank ace returned from the Scottish Knockhill track without visiting Dunfermline Hospital but the Tin Man was disappointed to miss out on a podium spot after crossing the line third.
The race was halted after a crash in the seventh lap and with final standings worked out by aggregate times, Tinsley's third place finish was only enough to earn him fifth.
The result means Tinsley reclaimed sixth on the leaderboard and goes into the summer break just six points behind Kieran Murphy.
The series resumes on August 11 at Thruxton.
