THE feasibility of introducing residents-only car parking schemes around the town centre is being investigated after concerns at an increasing problem.
Easemore Road residents have complained about town centre workers parking in their road all day to avoid paying in the Kingfisher Centre car parks.
The problem is expected to get worse in other roads after it was revealed a free car park in Hewell Road is to be developed.
In April, the Redditch Advertiser reported a rise in car parking charges at the Kingfisher Centre, a move which outraged many town centre workers.
Some had to pay up to £1 a day extra but centre owners Thornfield claimed the prices were still very cheap compared to other town centres.
