SEVERAL new faces were at Common Road on Tuesday night when Evesham United began preparations for the new Dr Martens League season.

Former Nuneaton striker, Richard Purchase, Littleton goalkeeper Adam Moss and Darren Rodgers, who packed in the game two years ago, were among a turnout of 25 at a session that manager Phil Mullen described as "brilliant".

An additional bonus is the decision of Russell Parmenter to bring out his boots again, while the only notable absentee was a holidaying Andy Smith.

Lee Ross has decided to join Oldbury United, a decision that has disappointed the United manager.

Evesham entertain Kidderminster Harriers on Monday (7.30pm).
