BROMSGROVE police are appealing for information following an incident when three men were attacked in the town centre.
The men, in their early 20s, were walking along Bromsgrove High Street with a female friend on Monday July 1 at about 11.10pm when they saw three men walking towards them from the direction of the Golden Cross.
Words were exchanged between the two groups near Timpsons Shoe Repair Shop and they then continued on to the alleyway close to Lloyds/TSB bank where one of the men was then hit over the head, possibly with a bottle.
The other two men suffered punches and kicks to the body.
The first offender is described as white, about 5ft 9ins tall of stocky build, aged in his mid 20s.
He was wearing a baseball cap and a zip up tracksuit top and trousers. He had light brown hair.
The second offender is described as either a dark skinned man or of asian appearance. He was about 5ft 10ins tall, aged in his mid 20s with a goatee beard and a moustache. He was wearing a light coloured tracksuit top.
The third offender is described as a white man aged around 17. He is about 6ft tall of slim build with blonde or ginger hair. He had a gold hooped earring in his right ear and also wore a zip up tracksuit top.
PC Jim Guinivan, leading the investigation, said "We have been told that some people walked past these two groups when this incident was occurring and I would like to speak to them as they may have vital information.
"The three men suffered minor head injuries and cuts and bruises. It may be someone who was out drinking in the town that night may recognise these descriptions, again I would like to hear from them.
"Anyone with information can contact me at Bromsgrove on 01527 584888 or if they do not want to give their name can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Calls are free, not recorded and a reward may be offered for information leading to the arrest and charge of a suspect."
