SUPER sleuths in Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa with a keen eye for saving money are being called upon to become a daylight detective.
Worcestershire County Council wants members of the public to give them a call if they spot any lamp post still illuminated during the day, so the fault can be rectified.
The county council's road lighting manager, Colin Pring, said: "If you see a street light on in the middle of the day, please tell us and we'll fix it fast if it's our responsibility.
"If it belongs to another authority, we'll pass the message on to that parish or district council."
To report a faulty light, call free on 0800 137352 or log onto www.worcestershire.gov.uk/streeting giving the lamp number or location and the name of the street and town.
