TWO teenagers are holding a car boot sale in Barnt Green this weekend to raise money for their community work.
Daniel Salmon and Sami Namih, who are both members of the village's St Andrew's Church, in Sandhills Road, have organised the event at St Andrew's School, in Hewell Road, on Saturday to raise cash for their gap year activities.
Seventeen-year-old Daniel, who has just finished his 'A' levels, is off to Brazil to work as a volunteer with the Oasis Trust.
He will be teaching basic life skills to pre-school children and could be involved in anything from building and painting to music and crafts with youngsters.
While 18-year-old Sami, who is staying in Britain, will be working on a placement with the Youth For Christ organisation.
The pair have already raised £320 from a car wash and have other events in the pipeline.
They are also keen to hear from anyone who would like odd jobs such as gardening done.
To help the pair, or if you would like any odd jobs done, call Daniel on 0121 445 4423.
