TELEVISION stardom beckons for pupils at a Blackwell school who are helping producers film a popular children's programme.
ITV is making a new series about Ripley and Scuff and Linthurst First School, in St Catherine's Road, will provide a backdrop for one of the episodes.
The show features two incorrigible puppets that enjoy adventures in their snazzy motor.
Producers asked schools in the Midlands to fill in a questionnaire about the type of arts, music and drama fostered by teachers and pupils and in return 40 schools have been picked to provide venues for the show.
Cameras will be at Linthurst during the autumn term but already three lucky pupils have been involved in filming at studios in Birmingham.
On Monday July 1, well-loved characters Ripley, Scuff and Granddad Gordon met the students who enjoyed two hours of filming and a look around the set.
