JEREMY Robinson will be seeking a hat-trick of appearances in the Open at Muirfield when he tees off on Sunday morning for the first 18 holes of qualifying.
The Evesham-based European Tour player last played at the Scottish course ten years ago, five years after his first appearance in one of the sport's most prestigious tournaments.
The 36-year-old missed out 12 months ago despite shooting rounds of 71 and 68 and places are again in short supply for this year's event which gets under way next Thursday.
"There are only eight or nine places available, so it's going to be difficult to get in," Robinson observed. "However, I've been given a couple of early tee times so I hope the weather will be in my favour."
Sunday's opening round is followed by 18 holes the next day after which the lucky few will be able to take their places alongside the best golfers in the world.
