A SPA school has launched itself into the 21st century with a brand new computer suite, which has all of the latest equipment.
More than 400 pupils at Chawson First School, in Wyche Road, will benefit from the new state-of-the-art computer suite, which was officially opened earlier this month.
The building, which was transformed from old teaching rooms, includes a whole host of new equipment including a network of new PCs, multi-media projectors and interactive white boards. The revamp of the building and the new equipment has been funded by a Central Government grant, as well as money from sponsors - Spa businesses Astons Coaches and KSH Carpets.
Headteacher Jerry Hughes said: "We are all really pleased that the school is able to offer the very latest in hi-tech equipment for the 21st century education that our children deserve.
"It will be in constant use by all age groups in the school."
