FIVE Ways Old Edwardians' championship hopes were dented at the weekend by a loss to Lyndworth.
The state of the pitch prompted the visitors to complain to the league after a match which saw them fall 20 points behind leaders Bridge Trust in the title race.
To compound the indignity, the visitors came up against a batsman in form.
Lyndworth's Qureel boasted 18 as his best total this season but after being promoted from fifth to first in the order he knocked 106 of his side's 179 total to leave Five Ways reeling.
The result also allowed the league's third and fourth placed sides to gain ground on second placed Old Eds and means Handsworth are just four points behind the Masshouse side.
Skipper Jones will be hoping Bridge Trust have a similarly tough time at Lyndworth at the weekend as his side entertain Thimblemill (2pm start).
Holidaying batsmen Dave Deamer and Dave Rhodes are both set to return.
