REIGNING Premier Division champions Bidford look set to lose their top flight status in an ignominious defence of their title.
The Crown Meadow side sank to a 72 run defeat to leaders Kineton to leave them anchored in the relegation zone.
Ironically it was arch rivals Exhall, who had hoped Bidford would do them a favour at the other end of the table, who kept Bidford off the bottom by beating basement boys Bretforton.
But with two sides set to be axed, the villagers are second from bottom with an average points score 1.16 worse off than nearest rivals Wellesbourne.
Fortunately for Nigel Wilson's men, Wellesbourne pocketed just one more point than their relegation rivals in a defeat to Shipston.
Bidford entertain fourth placed Stratford Bards on Saturday (2pm start) hoping Bretforton and Wellesbourne slit each other's throats in a survival scrap.
