A TEENAGER has died after being involved in a collision with a lorry on the Droitwich bypass near the Homebase store.
Ambulance crews rushed to the accident at 1.15pm yesterday, but the teenage pedestrian was declared dead at the scene and taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital Mortuary.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place on the A38 in Droitwich, between the A4133 traffic island and the Westlands island.
The lorry was travelling on the northbound carriageway and traffic had to be stopped in both directions. The southbound carriageway was eventually re-opened just before 4pm.
The name of the teenager has not yet been released. Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact officers on 01905 723888, quoting crime reference c/603286.
