A WORCESTERSHIRE company is making sure schoolchildren are well-watered by donating a drinks machine.
Tangerine Fish has responded to a Government call encouraging youngsters to drink more water, by handing over the vending machine.
The company, based in Lower Broadheath, aims to provide every schoolchild in the county with a
re-usable 500ml bottle and filtered water in the school.
"In conjunction with local authorities, it is our aim to provide clean drinking water for every school child," said Peter Hines, managing director of the company.
"To achieve this we will supply a bottle with a sporting pull-up cap for every child and a filtered clean water, top-up system at each participating school."
A spokesman for The Chantry High School, in Martley, revealed that the bottles were used for the school's sports day, held yesterday.
"As part of the national consensus about school children needing to be hydrated, a free drinks machine has been installed."
