WORCESTER school pupils were taught the ins and outs of sixth form education when they attended a taster day at a city college.
Pupils from high schools across the city and further afield were invited to the three-day event at Worcester Sixth Form College this week, which is designed to show pupils what sixth form education is all about.
Ian Birth, senior tutor at the college, said the visitors were all given a tour of the college and shown the variety of subjects and extra-curricular activities available.
Each pupil then chose a speciality, which included the chance to investigate an imaginary crime scene.
"The aim is to give them an experience of what it is like to come to the sixth form college," he said.
"The idea is not to push specific subjects, or even our college, it is just to promote further education in general."
