CHILDREN at a Worcester primary school had a music lesson to remember when members of London's Philharmonia Orchestra paid them a visit.
The Bozza Wind Trio took time out from the main orchestra to give Year Five pupils at Cherry Orchard Primary School some coaching on Tuesday.
Oboist Anna Came, clarinettist Jane Calderbank and Adam Mackenzie on bassoon, gave recitals to 120 children during the day before composing a piece for everyone to play.
The visit was made possible by local company MapaSpontex, which sponsors the orchestra.
"We were very fortunate to have them here," said headteacher Jeremy Harwood.
"The children quickly attained a high standard and the finished piece was pretty impressive."
