THE future may be looking brighter for Alcester's youth as volunteers continue to push for better facilities and support.
Last year, town resident Bill Bailey, a former organiser of Alcester's youth club, became chairman of the Alcester Youth Project.
Since then, the project has been offered the use of a Greig Centre hut free of charge for teenagers between 15 and 17 and the services of a Studley youth worker, after one of Alcester's two workers resigned.
But Mr Bailey feels the project is still not receiving enough financial support from the county council's community education department and is determined to do more for town youngsters.
Mr Bailey said the Alcester Opportunities group was developing the possibility of young people being ablt to use the sports field.
