WEDNESDAY CLUB: The club met on July 3 when Mrs M Boath presided. Birthday cards were distributed. The trip to Forest of Dean was thoroughly enjoyed by all and the weather was ideal.
Members now look forward to the river trip and cream tea on Tuesday, August 13 - coach will leave village hall at 12.30pm monies to be paid at the next meeting.
The programme for the afternoon was given by Mr Gerald Heath from the Almonry. A talk with slides on Evesham Past and Present was most interesting and brought back pleasant memories. Mrs P Miller gave the vote of thanks. Cakes were donated by Mrs Crook, Mrs Hitch and Mrs Dyde. Tea was served by Mrs Sylvia Matthews and helpers. Please note the August meeting is a garden party at Mrs Matthews' home - 'Greendale', Bretforton Road.
