SUMMER events have been arranged for The Theatre, Chipping Norton, incorporating both creative and performing arts, as well as things to keep children entertained during the holidays.
From Tuesday, July 30 until Friday, August 16, an exhibition of watercolours by Natasha Walker, titled Journey to Valhalla, will be on show.
The Long Compton Art Group's collection of local scenes, birds, flowers, people and still life will be displayed between Tuesday, August 20 and Friday, September 6.
On Saturday, August 10, guitar and percussion duo, Craig Ogden and Paul Tanner, who perform as Ogden Tanner, will present their repertoire of guitar and contemporary pieces, as well as Latin American works.
The concert is in aid of Volunteer Reading Help, a national charity that recruits and trains volunteers to give individual help to children in primary schools who find reading difficult.
From Monday, July 22 to Friday, August 16, eight to 16-year-olds will be entertained with Summer Theatre for Young People.
All That Glisters, a story creation session, is for the eight to 12-year-olds, while Which Way's Up?, an offbeat clown and vaudeville-inspired show for 13 to 16-year-olds, will be run by Momo Theatre.
A variety of films will get showings at the theatre, with Ice Age, Gosford Park, Ocean's Eleven and Bend It Like Beckham among the movies that will be shown between the end of July and the beginning of September.
