A FEW of the things you will need if you are planning to see this film are a two-litre supply of your favourite soft drink, 10 tonnes of popcorn and a strong bladder.
At two hours and 20 minutes Steven Spielberg's latest creation Minority Report - apparently based on a short (!) story - is not for those with a limited attention span.
That said, this action-packed thriller is not particularly difficult to follow - with the possible drawback that most of the plot twists are fairly easy to spot in advance.
It is set in 2054 and focuses on a police department, headed by Tom Cruise, testing a system aimed at stopping murders before they happen, courtesy of the insight of three young "precognitives".
Tom, pardon the pun, cruises through the film and brings his character, John Anderton, impressively to life.
It is well worth catching this on the big screen as it is visually brilliant and the world of 2054 is well realised and seems plausible. Just get there early and make sure you get a comfortable seat! AMD
